A gunfight erupted in the streets during a law enforcement clash between personnel from Ukraine’s two largest national security agencies, the Security Service (SBU) and the Military Intelligence Service (HUR). President Zelenskyy condemned the two agencies for turning their guns inward and demanded an investigation.
The Financial Times reported that Zelenskyy stated in a speech on the evening of the 2nd that a “heinous incident” had occurred between personnel of the SBU and HUR, Ukraine’s largest intelligence agencies.
