Jeffrey Huang suffers heavy losses in crypto; wakes up to find his funds wiped out, with only $1.50 left in his account

Binance, the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, has been hit by its largest-ever security breach, sending shockwaves through global financial markets and triggering a panic-driven sell-off in major assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum. This brutal “crypto massacre” caught bullish investors off guard—including celebrity Jeffrey Huang (known as “Machi Big Brother”), who is notorious for his high-risk trading style. He found his portfolio decimated by the market’s savage downturn in a matter of hours.

According to the latest data from on-chain analytics firm Lookonchain, Huang’s account on the decentralized exchange Hyperliquid fell into a “liquidation nightmare.” Amidst extreme volatility over a six-hour span, his account triggered eight consecutive forced liquidations, wiping out all of his long positions.

Even a substantial account—once holding significant capital—collapsed entirely, with the balance plummeting to a mere $1.50—effectively reduced to zero. Lookonchain quipped: “Machi Big Brother woke up to find only enough money left in his account for a single drink.”

Looking back at his track record in the crypto space, Huang once achieved legendary status by leveraging a sharp eye and bold instincts to turn an initial $56,000 investment into $12.25 million in just four months.

However, high returns often come with high risks. Recently, Huang placed a massive, 25x-leveraged long bet on Ethereum (ETH), only to be caught in the market crash. Data shows that within just three minutes, positions involving thousands of ETH were ruthlessly liquidated by the system, causing his capital to evaporate like an avalanche.

In truth, Huang’s journey in cryptocurrency investment has been a remarkably turbulent one. Publicly available data reveals that, since May 2025, the account has incurred a staggering cumulative loss of $37.11 million. In the last 30 days alone, market volatility has wiped out approximately $7.95 million of his assets—a rate of capital erosion that is truly eye-watering.

Yet, even as he faces a near-total wipeout, this “crypto tycoon” from the entertainment industry shows no signs of throwing in the towel. Immediately after seeing some of his positions vanish entirely, Jeffrey Huang (Huang Li-cheng) was spotted injecting another $250,000 in margin, resolutely opening new, highly leveraged long positions. This display of fierce resilience has left observers wondering whether he might yet manage a dramatic comeback from the brink of ruin.
